Americans are suspicious of “emergency powers” for government figures, and this is especially true in Pennsylvania, the birthplace of the US Constitution. Many Pennsylvanians are asking, “What are Governor Wolf’s emergency powers? And what can he do during the coronavirus crisis to shut down businesses and ban sales of guns?” A lot of rumors are floating, so in this video, we discuss what the statute gives him power to do, and what the legislature can do if they feel Governor Wolf has overstepped his powers.
