Federica Caloia (“Ka-LOY-ya”) sat for the Pennsylvania bar exam in July 2022 and was sworn in October 2022. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Caloia worked as a legal assistant in a large personal injury firm in Center City, Philadelphia. While there, Ms. Caloia supported three attorneys with various personal injury matters, from discovery to trial. Shortly thereafter, she began her law school career.
During law school, Ms. Caloia spent time researching the effects the Covid-19 Pandemic would have on non-profit organizations for the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement. Through the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, she assisted artists, inventors, and cultural organizations retain legal representation, education, and counseling for their legal and business needs. Ms. Caloia also conducted preliminary hearings as a certified legal intern and wrote an appellate brief while interning at the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office.
Ms. Caloia graduated from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida, but began her studies at Delaware Law School. Prior to that, Ms. Caloia received her English Literature degree from the University of St Andrews, St Andrews, Scotland, which culminated in a dissertation exploring the journey of self-discovery in Theodore Dreiser’s Sister Carrie and Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha.
